Professor Lynn Vavreck is one of the world’s leading experts on campaigns and elections and an innovator in media measurement research. She has taught at Princeton University, Dartmouth College, and UCLA, where she is Associate Professor of Political Science and Communication Studies.Her book, The Message Matters, was described by Stanley Greenberg in The American Prospect as “required reading” after he warned future presidential candidates to ignore it at their peril. Lynn has run numerous projects testing the effectiveness of advertising about topics as varied as politics and blockbuster movies or television shows. Her work and commentary has appeared in media all over the world, including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the Financial Times, the BBC (British Broadcasting Company), and the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Company) to name a few.  She has published two books and academic papers in numerous journals including the American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, and the British Journal of Political Science, among others. She holds a B.S. and M.S. from Arizona State University and a Ph.D. from the University of Rochester.


Professor Douglas Rivers is a globally sought after authority on survey research and a successful Silicon Valley entrepreneur. He has taught at Harvard University, Caltech, UCLA, and, most recently, Stanford University, where he is Professor of Political Science and Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution. He was named Executive of the Year (2000) by Research Business Report and received the Innovator's Award by the American Association of Public Opinion Research (2001). Doug is also a CBS News consultant and has published academic papers in numerous journals including the American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science and the American Economics Review, to name a few. He holds a B.A. from Columbia University and a Ph.D. from Harvard University.
